Today our office welcomed Chancellor Dr. Darrin Q. Rankin and his Houston-area team to Senate District 4 to commemorate Western Governors University Texas for their 10-year anniversary! I was proud to author SR 404 and present WGU Texas with the resolution in honor of achieving such a tremendous milestone.

Also today, K-12 education continues to remain a priority in Texas, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic has led to major shifts in the traditional classroom setting. Thank you to Conroe Independent School District Superintendent Curtis Null and School Board Trustee Scott Moore for meeting with Rep. Steve Toth, Rep. Will Metcalf staff, and me today about the future of public education.
