There is a crisis at the Texas southern border. The Biden Administration’s open border policies have resulted in a two-fold crisis: a humanitarian crisis of migrants and unaccompanied minors entering the country, and a homeland security crisis where cartels, human traffickers, and criminals are able to exploit the chaos at the border.

To put things into perspective, in all of 2020, there were 90,000 apprehensions, and in less than 3 months of 2021, there have been 108,000 apprehensions.

Texas should not accept President Biden’s dangerous policies to endanger our state, and that is why I am supporting Operation Lone Star, activating the Department of Public Safety officers and the National Guard to assist Border Patrol agents. Liberals in Washington, D.C. continue to promote a porous border, but Texans will take the necessary steps to keep our communities safe.
