I was honored to join Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Brian C. Hawthorne as he hosted local ministers for his 9/11 Ministers Luncheon. In a room with people concerned about the needs of this community, we spoke about the importance of creating opportunities for everyone to be heard.

I was encouraged to see these spiritual leaders express support for law enforcement and the need to ensure our officers are well trained, properly equipped, and responsive to the needs of the community. Bringing these voices together for important dialogue is only the first step, and you’ll soon be hearing more about the efforts we are undertaking towards our shared goal of building safer, stronger neighborhoods where families can live, work and create even better futures.
